Julien Legrand

Julien Legrand is a coauthor, with Martin Reeves and Jack Fuller, of Boston Consulting Group’s 2018 article Your Strategy Process Needs a Strategy. At the time, he was a consultant in BCG’s New York office and an ambassador to the BCG Henderson Institute. The article argues that choosing a strategic approach is not enough: organizations also need a process suited to the environment in which they operate. It distinguishes planning, experimentation, sustained commitment, collaboration and urgent intervention rather than prescribing one cycle for every business.

Legrand later worked at Saint-Gobain. A 2025 publication identified him as an operational excellence director there. He also coauthored a 2019 BCG article on the capabilities associated with different strategic environments.
