Oliver Halw

Oliver Halw is a coauthor of research on corporate planning and organizational performance. A 2023 Strategic Management Journal paper he wrote with Peter Maik Hamann and Thomas W. Guenther synthesizes 183 independent study samples. It reports a positive association between planning and performance, with differences across organizational settings and ways of measuring the two. The analysis does not show that planning causes improved results in every organization.

The paper lists Halw’s affiliation at publication as TU Dresden’s Faculty of Business Management and Economics. The university also records a 2014 guest lecture on cost management that he delivered with Thomas Schlomski.
