Amy Shuen
Amy Shuen is a strategy scholar whose work spans dynamic capabilities and digital business models. The University of Hong Kong lists her as an adjunct professor in its School of Computing and Data Science.
Shuen coauthored the 1997 article “Dynamic Capabilities and Strategic Management” with David J. Teece and Gary Pisano. The article examines how firms’ ways of coordinating resources, their existing assets, and their development paths shape competitive advantage amid rapid technological change. It adds a dynamic perspective to an analysis of reinforcing activities: a configuration that works under one set of conditions may need to evolve as technology or demand changes. Shuen also wrote Web 2.0: A Strategy Guide, a book about digital business strategy.
